The proposed Better Malaysia Assembly is the first step in a much-needed comprehensive national reset

Change - ability to adapt, the need to change to survive - was a consistent theme for me and will be more important for you. 

Diversity is a defining trait of the Malaysian nation. We stand to gain the most if we make diversity work in our favour, if our society is inclusive and collaborative across borders of identity.

The state of the nation demands that we strive for discontinuity and the chance to reset.

I am of the view that Malaysia needs a system reset or nationhood recalibration. I just don’t think you can deal with social cohesion on its own, it is too intertwined with our politics and economics.

The introduction of Malaysia Inc was well-intended and sound but much was lost in its implementation. The relationship between government and business must be a big part of the national reset.

Major concerns about our country and how to move forward.

Can there be a better Malaysia at all? Whether these frustrations and failures that I mentioned are just part and parcel of democracy and growing pains of a new nation.
